H. Thomas Campton, Jr. Partner
H. Thomas Campton, Jr. is a partner at Campton Patackis, serving the Eastern and Central Pennsylvania market.
Tom is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs (PICPA). Tom is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), a Certified Fraud Auditor (CFA), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), an Accredited Business Valuator (ABV), Forensic CPA (FCPA), and has Certification in Financial Forensics (CFF), both of which are AICPA designations. He is also an active member of the Estate Planning Council of Central Pennsylvania and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA business valuations). Tom has published articles in The Central Penn Business Journal and in The Valuation Examiner, an international magazine dealing with business valuation issues. He is a member of the PICPA’s statewide Federal Taxation Committee, a member of the PICPA’s statewide Forensic Accounting and Litigation Services Committee, as well as a member of the PICPA’s statewide Business Valuation Committee.
During 2006, Tom received an award from the Central Pennsylvania Business Journal for being one of the year’s “Forty Under 40”. This award is given out annually to forty individuals under the age of 40 who have demonstrated outstanding leadership ability within their industry and the local community.
Tom serves the community through his service on the Advisory Board of the World Forgotten Children’s Foundation, a charity serving handicapped children in third world countries.
Tom graduated magna cum laude from Pennsylvania State University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
Tom’s work at Campton Patackis involves a wide variety of accounting, consulting, and tax areas. He services clients who belong to a wide variety of industries with concentrations in service companies and not-for-profit organizations. He has extensive experience in retirement planning, tax planning, systems design, business valuations, and forensic accounting.
Some of Tom’s hobbies include: mountain and road cycling, skiing, golf, tennis, running, hiking, and general enjoyment of the outdoors.
Jeffrey Patackis Partner
Jeffrey Patackis is a partner at Campton Patackis, Certified Public Accountants. The firm serves the Eastern and Central Pennsylvania market.
Jeffrey is a graduate of Wilkes University, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He was a varsity letterman in basketball and was on the Student-Athlete Honor Roll his entire academic career.
Jeffrey began his career in state government, working at the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency. His first assignment was within the Financial Management Division and later moved into the Marketing Department where he served as an accounting liaison between the agency and those financial institutions that used the agency as their student loan servicer.
Jeffrey is married and has two boys, Brady and Cameron. When not spending time with his family, he enjoys golfing and watching college basketball. In addition, he is interested in military history.
Jeffrey is active in his parish’s council of the Knights of Columbus, which has as its primary charitable activity providing funds for various parish projects as well as sponsoring activities for the youth and other parish organizations.
His work at Campton Patackis involves a wide variety of accounting, consulting, and tax areas. He specializes in the audit of not-for-profit organizations and serves clients in the insurance, manufacturing, and transportation industries. Among his audit clients are the Keystone State Games, the Pennsylvania Department of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Susquehanna Conference of the United Methodist Church. At Campton Patackis, he is responsible for the development of auditing policy, client work flow and product delivery, and professional work review standards.
